Highlights of the Past Week

On Monday, we had our last FHE activity, and us girls planned a redneck paint-balling fight. Basically, there's a red team and a yellow team... the red team uses ketchup and the yellow team uses mustard. The idea was to squirt a little ketchup or mustard onto a marshmallow, and then throw it at someone... not surprisingly though, we soon forgot about the marshmallows, cause it wasn't getting the other person "good enough". ;) We ended up running all over this grassy field, bottles in our hands, getting each other as messy as possible, hahaaa!!! Good times. That's not where it ends either. We told the guys to walk with us back to our apartment for refreshments (where we had planned a surprise attack). We filled four garbage cans with 300 dye-filled water balloons and stationed them in different spots around the building, so when we got there, some of us went to "get the food" while some of us disappeared into the laundry room and garbage shed. As soon as the guys were all chillin' on the grass, we jumped out and ambushed them! It was great! You should have seen their faces, haha... they were pretty shocked, but it didn't take them long to figure out where these balloons were coming from, and they soon overpowered us. SO... we ruined the clothes that we were wearing, but it was totally worth it :D

Thursday, my schedule was slammed-- went from 10am to 9pm out of my apartment. One of the requirements for my "Fitness For Life" class is to take a Wellness Exam at the Wellness Center at both the beginning of the semester and at the end, and to write a paper comparing the results. I gained 30 pounds. HAHAHAHAA!!!! Juuuust Kidding :D I was actually pretty happy with myself... I got my resting heart rate down, lost 4% of my body fat, am in the 98th percentile for curl-ups and flexibility, and benched 75 pounds! Hahaa... don't laugh too hard at that last part... I've never bench pressed anything in my life. All the guys that were in the weight room there at the gym were HUGE!!! Talk about scary :O

Friday was pretty fun... I went on a big group date, where we played Ultimate Frisbee (Hooray for getting sweaty on a date, LOL) and then watched Stardust. Unfortunately, we had White Glove at 8am on Saturday morning, and I didn't even start my portion of the cleaning. You know me... I just HAVE to procrastinate, haha :) Anyway, I had to clean my bedroom and the Bathroom... don't even ask how I got stuck cleaning the bathroom... I have no idea. Big shout out of love to my roommates who assigned me to that while I was not there to protest. I ended up cleaning through the night, by the time I was done, I had 45 minutes before we got clean checked, so I fell asleep on the couch. By the way, I think I'm permanently scarred from some of the nasty crap in there... I had to HAND SCRUB the toilet INSIDE and out (thank goodness for those long yellow gloves), and the bathroom floor because we didn't have a mop. Also: girls have a lot of hair. One word: Ew.

After pulling the all-nighter, I got invited to have a Lord of The Rings marathon at my FHE brother's house in Blackfoot Idaho. After the hour long drive there, we decided that we'd only have time to watch the 2nd and 3rd movies, because the were the EXTENDED version.... making each movie 4 hours long. Yeah, 8 hours seemed to be a pretty decent chunk of time. :) I was wondering what I had gotten myself into... but it turned out to be awesome. Usually, I feel like if I don't do something productive, then why the heck would I even get out of bed, but Saturday ended up being the perfect day to be lazy. Basically, we would watch a couple hours, let the projector cool off, eat some dinner, watch a couple hours, eat dessert, watch a couple more hours, etc. The best part was that after only 45 minutes of sleep that night, it was easy for my to drift into sleep during the "repetitive" parts of the movies. Hahaaa... I think you would have laughed at me if you saw that on one of these "drifting off into sleep" occasions, I accidentally fell asleep on one of the guys! I woke up up and in my head I was like, "AHHHHH!!! How did this happen?!?! AWKWARD!!!" but in real life, I played it off like it was no big deal... ahhaahaaa.... the worst part is that he didn't seem to mind.... ahhhh.... good thing the end of the semester is in 2 more days!!!! :]

The highlight for Sunday is that I got my Temple Recommend!!! I'm leaving Rexburg late on Thursday night to head down to Utah for a week before going home, so I'm going to the temple with my roomie on Thursday morning. I also finally got released from my Sunday School Teacher calling, so that will be one less thing to worry about as well.

A Week for Growing

Well, It's been an interesting week! It started out pretty bad, but eventually worked it's way back up. If you want to skip to the fun part, scroll past the first few paragraphs, haha :P

I've had something on my mind for a looooong time, and just haven't had the guts to confront it... I've been pretty darn stupid. I won't go into detail, but basically I did some things last semester with Tanner that I'm not proud of. Anyway, I was reading from "The Miracle of Forgiveness" by Spencer W. Kimball, and I realized that I needed to change... I'd been procrastinating the day of my repentance. After I read until almost 2am, I decided to pray. I haven't prayed in a looong time, because... I knew that Heavenly Father knew what I had done... I just didn't want to talk with Him about it, and I as sure as heck didn't want to ask for any favors!!! Readers...I felt... SOOOO AWFUL. I don't think I've EVER felt that bad. I just laid there on my bed, bawling into my pillow (what do you know, I CAN cry, hahaa ;)). Everything that I had done wrong and hadn't repented for, came back in a flood of memories that I had been trying to suppress. I couldn't go to sleep that night, I maybe got a couple restless hours somewhere in there, but I decided to go talk to my Bishop the next day. I couldn't help but cry while I was confessing to him... It was harder than I thought. It's funny how when you sin, you keep reasoning with yourself that it's not THAT big of a deal... but it is!!! I now know that whenever I see myself starting to do that, I have to stop, backtrack, and figure things out, because that's Satan's doing. Anyway... the Bishop told me to keep reading The Miracle of Forgiveness, read my scriptures everyday, keep fulfilling my calling to the best of my ability, and pray as often as I can... and I've been working on it.

I have a radio that's in the bathroom that is always playing music, but I got home and changed it to the church music station, and it's stayed on that channel ALL WEEK! My roommates have just left it where it is. I also enjoy reading the scriptures more... there's SO much stuff that applies to me (and everyone else too) and I feel like highlighting every verse! I love the scriptures! After that, I decided to go on a run from my place down towards Wal-Mart, but I found a cool bike trail, so took that, which led to an abandoned train on the nearby tracks. Nobody was around, so I climbed up a little ladder on top of one of the train cars (like the cowboys did it) and just sat up there... I prayed again, for about an hour or so... until the Rexburg wind started to get really cold. It was freezing, but I didn't want to leave... for once I was away from the world... couldn't even hear any cars. Then... as I was bowed down, I felt a hand on my back. A warm hand that seemed to sweep away the cold. As tears streamed down from my face, I turned around... no one was there. But I felt our Savior's love. I know he loves me. I know he loves you. It made me want to try to be the best that I can be. Soooo, when I finally got home, I decided that one thing that I could change right then, was my music that I listen to. It has a big impact on my mood, and so I decided to go through all of my songs on iTunes and delete everything that had bad language or that was inappropriate. Guess what?!?! I only have 183 songs left... HA! Time to start collecting music again :P

Moving on to a "lighter" topic (haha), this weekend was a blast!!! Have you ever played Fugitive? Awesome way to blow some time on a Friday night when curfew isn't until 1am!!! Anyway, we got about 35-40 people to meet up at the Stake Center (right next to the Temple) to play. Four of those people had cars. Our mission: To get from the Stake Center to Broulim's as fast as possible without getting caught by the people in the cars. I got caught. Next: To get from Broulim's to Craigo's Pizza. I got caught. Third and final mission: To get from Craigo's back up to the Stake Center. Mind you, it's pitch black, and uphill. I decided to team up with my FHE brothers this time since my roommates proved to not be very fast, or very sneaky the previous two rounds. HAHAHAHAAA :) So, we take the long way to get there... the long LOOOONG way!!! We ran though residential areas (including backyards in order to avoid all possible roads), jumped FOUR chain-link fences, hopped into countless bushes to hide as cars drove by, sprinted from shady spot to shady spot, army crawled across grassy fields, UNTIL 45 minutes later made it. Turns out, it was a good thing I went with the guys... only 8 people made it... to which I was the only girl. But I was exhausted!!! Boys run fast!!! HAhaaaaa :D

I went Mini-golfing on Saturday night, as well as playing some Foosball and Pool. Church was really good too. So there you have it... my week in a nutshell!

Catching Up...

Okie Dokie. I'm not sure where to start. Haha... umm, so the week of Finals was interesting! NOT. It sucked, but fortunately, I didn't have a test in like, two of my classes, so that was a party :) My final grades ended up being two A's, two B's, and two C's... not awesome, but better than I expected. So, I left Rexburg on a Thursday morning... I drove down to Provo, and was there until the following Monday. I spent most of my time that weekend with my sister Katie and her kids... that was awesome! We went to a park and also to Thanksgiving Point, where we saw lots and lots of farm animals. Also, I got some instruction from Matt as how to cook more dinner foods... he's taken it upon himself to show me how to cook every time I come to visit, and how to purchase certain foods... I've learned quite a lot!!!

It gets better though: Wendy's parents bought her a plane ticket to return to Hawaii for school, but she decided that she's not going back to Hawaii... she's going to BYU-I instead. So she had to use this plane ticket before the end of the year, and convinced her parents that she should check out campus here (and maybe just come a week early to hang out with me, haha). Therefore, on monday, I drove back to Idaho Falls to pick wendy up at the airport there, and then we drove back down to North Ogden to stay with her brother, Lane. We stayed with him and his wife for 3 days, then in Sandy with her brother, Mike for 2 days, and finally 2 more days at my Mom's house back in Provo. That was pretty much an awesome week!!! We went to an Airforce Base museum, the Zoo, hiked the "Y", rode some Go-karts, played Miniature Golf, went to Temple Square, played some Arcade Games, went shopping at REAL MALLS, hung out with family, and got LOST ALL OVER UTAH! Hahaha... we had some sketchy vehicles that we drove as well. All I have to say is that I-15 and I have some good and bad memories.

We met up with our friend Chantilli while we were in Utah, so she ended up coming to the zoo with us, and also came to Temple Square. Holy cow, we took a full tour of the Conference Center... it's amazing!!! The sun was setting over the Salt Lake valley while we were on the roof of the conference center, and it was so peaceful. We did a lot of fun things that week, but that was definitely one of my favorites. It's amazing how simple spiritual experiences in your life can really help you to re-focus on what's really important! Oh, to finish that off, we went to IHOP... I don't care if some people think that that place is trashy, that's pretty much my favorite place to eat, haha... among others.

The next Monday was when my mom drove us back up to Rexburg to go back to school, where Wendy stayed at our apartment until Thursday morning, when she had to catch a ride back to the airport. My roommates and I decided to sneak her into this semester's iNight... we sumo wrestled... we tied. Hard to believe, right?!?! Hahaa... i was proud of myself :) We also did a little rock climbing, aaaaand SPEED DATING!!! Yeah, that was a little awkward at times... haha... Wendy did NOT like it. Pansy. :D

Then there's this past week. It hasn't been super eventful, but there's been a few highlights. We went to our ward's opening social... which was going bowling at the REX... AGAIN. Anyway, we met our new FHE brothers, who really are awesome guys. I don't know how we've lucked out for two semesters in a row. We got along so well right off the bat, and we were laughing and having loads of fun, and soon people from other groups came over to our table just to chill. It's cool :) We invited them over to dinner last night... I made fajitas! That's right... I can cook if I try! Aaaanyway, did I tell you guys what classes I'm taking? I can't remember, but I scheduled all of my classes for T,Th... which means I have NO classes on M,W,F. Sweet? Heck Yes! There is one catch though, in order to get all the credits I need, I have to take two online courses. Poopie. OH! I almost forgot to tell you all... I got re-called as a Gospel Doctrine teacher... I wasn't super excited, but I think I'm a little more comfortable with it now. I must be doing something right, because I've had a completely full classroom for several weeks running :) Yesterday, I used a baseball bat and some bubble wrap as part of an object lesson... that was a good time. Oh, and I LOVE STADIUM SINGING... it's gonna be our Sunday tradition... Traditiooooooon! Tradition! Tradition! (That last part was me singing a Fiddler on the Roof song).

What the?

Okay... I have had lots of people tell me recently (this past semester) that I kinda have red hair. What is that all about?? To get to the bottom of this, I compared my hair with a redheaded friend of mine two doors down. To my dismay, it wasn't far off... at least the tips weren't. This is not a satisfactory discovery, so although my mom would be pleased, I tried my darndest to take a picture in which my hair didn't look red. I think I was successful! :)

Also, I tried on the coconuts that Wendy gave me as a joke, and just walked around our apartment complex, stopping in on some people to say hi. In my defense, I'm completely modest... it was just to get a reaction... which was awesome from pretty much everyone :D

April Fools Day

So... even though I try not to get too carried away with April Fools Day, it really is like Christmas to me! I love to plan little jokes, but even more, I love to get a reaction (whether that be large or small) out of people. Now, some people I've run into can "dish it out" but can't "take it"... and I've tried to be the kind of person that's a good sport, because I've had my fair share of friends getting even with me :)

This year turned out being pretty successful! My roommates and I decided that our target for this year would be our FHE brothers. Aubrei and I taped a garbage bag to their front door and filled it with popcorn, so that when they opened it in the morning, it would all spill in. Also... this is regular attire for the two of us "Bandits" when we're doing something naughty.

We also gathered a bunch of bridal magazines, took out the staples, and taped the pages together to make long strips... which we used to cover two of the guy's vehicles.We did this at 5am... which wasn't difficult to wake up for, because we never went to sleep! By the way, all-nighters are okay as long as you don't try to take a nap... well, as long as you don't have to wake up by a certain time the next day, haha. I learned that already... and, it's also easier if you have things to keep you busy, like, running a mile and a half with your roommate for one of her classes that morning.

Anyway, as expected, our FHE brothers got us back by filling nearly our ENTIRE apartment with 3 feet of crinkled up newspaper. HAHAHAAAAA... oh man, you should have been there...
An all-together awesome day!

On Friday, my roommate, Bethany and I went hookie-bobbing with one of our friends, Nick. That was a new experience! We also found a big cave, and since we had a flashlight, decided to explore that as well. We walked in until the end of the cave (or maybe it was just a cave-in) and turned around, but it took us well over a half hour to get in and back out. Then came the inter-tube tied to the back of his truck... that was awesome... until i got dragged though a ginormous icy, muddy puddle (good thing inter-tubes float)! Nah, that was actually pretty fun too :D

School

Well, school started a while ago, and I got most of the classes that I wanted. Although, I'm regretting Chemistry a little. The concepts seem easy enough, but are actually pretty difficult. I have a test over three chapters on Wednesday... I'm nervous about it. Anyway, this new school season has brought to light many things that I wasn't expecting. For instance, I'm of dating and and driving age, and haven't been able to try out either one! Poo! I also find it interesting how you sometimes don't realize how bad something is until you get out of it... as a Junior, I realize how lame it is to be an underclassman. 'Nuff said.

Shelly had a really long layover in Juneau, so we got to spent some time with her. Dad took me over to where Charlie, Cheryl, and Shelly were... which was at WORK. Yup, as crazy as it seems to install floors for a family activity, we do it, Charlie seems to always have multiple jobs that he has to work on at one time. So, Shelly made her famous Tortilla Soup, and it was so good that 6 people finished an entire pot!

Oh, and seems as how Rachel is most likely to be the only one that reads this now, I have some good news. Colt helped me convince Elizabeth to join Track and Field this spring. The only problem is, he also convinced her to do the Spring Musical/Play. Elizabeth told me that if I did the play with her, then she would do Track with me. I little bit of a problem, I'm not good at either one, I just wanted to participate a little, so that it would look good on college applications. A little bit of a dilemma.

Eyes

Well, i've decided that after pink eye, and a broken blood vessel in my eye, that it was about time that I got a spare pair of glasses just in case I can't wear my contacts for a while. What do you think?

Babysitting

I must say... it's way more fun if you're related to the kid than not. Today went pretty smooth on the account that Owen is finally used to me. He played soccer in the house today, which I figured probably wouldn't do any harm because he can't kick very far. He didn't do anything wrong, but he can kick all the way down the hall. He follows it as he says, "GOAL!" It was really funny later when he came up to me, shook my hand and said something that sounded just like, "Good Game". His vocabulary is getting larger and larger. He can imitate a lot of different sounds and hand motions, which is good if you want to speak two languages I guess. Well, that's about it for now!

Wow

Well, an entire month has passed by without me doing anything on my blog. As a matter of fact I've been so busy, that I don't even check my e-mail everyday. Crazy huh? I visited Lisa, Joel, and Ben in Oregon for a while. I got to do some shopping, picked 20 pounds of Strawberries, and went rafting down a river. I got to Utah and immediatly went to EFY where I met lot of new people and had some awesome experiences! Then the following week, I went to a huge Rodeo, and the next night went to a Carnival with Katie, Matt, the kids, and the Peltons. I also can't seem to get my fill of juicy fruits or corn on the cob (which they sell on the side of the road)! Today is also my first day of babysitting Owen... he's such a cutie! I wish that I could type as fast as I feel like talking right now! Here's a couple pictures instead.

Fun Story

Tuesday was sooo much fun! I went canoeing out at Skater's Cabin, which if you don't know, has a lot of icebergs in it! I got completely soaked after my friends tipped me... and my friend got the returned favor when we almost abandoned her on an iceberg... she wanted to try to sit on it! Ha ha. If you haven't been on the water yet this year, you have to do it! Even if it is raining! Oh, and bring a life jacket!

Summer Vacation

Well, I'm finally in the last week of school... it's been a long and gruelling year! Although, I don't even know why I need to go to school, this week is pretty much going to all be a joke. I have all 6 classes before lunch, and then after lunch all that they're doing is yearbook signing and hotdog eating. That would be okay, but I don't have a yearbook this year, and I don't want to stay an extra hour and a half just for hotdogs. On the other hand, what's school without a whole week of goofing off?!?! HEHE.

Now, we have some questions and answers for all you curious people out there:
1- When am I going to get my permit? This week.
2- How is my finger? I had a blessing and it is now healed... just a little fatter than the other one.
3- When does the final Harry Potter book come out? Good question, I would like to know this information as well.
4- Are the bridesmaides dresses pretty? Yes, I think they are. They're kind of a Periwinkle color, but need sleeves, and probably need to be fitted.

Dad and I are watching the Jazz game tonight, and it only has 5 minutes left, so I better help dad cheer an the "un-hearing T.V." Oh, and Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Owwww!

Friday started out as a pretty good day, school was all good, and I even saw some mountain goats, a black bear, and her two cubs on a mountain with binoculars. It was pretty cool. So, I was walking home and decided that Anja had been neglected (as far as walks go) for a week or so and she was becoming mischievous. I got out my bike and the leash and we headed out. Well, Anja likes to pull for the first block or so because she's so excited, and I have to keep on jerking her back. Just two houses away, a dog rushed up to the fence and shocked us both. She started to take off, following the dog down the length of the fence, but my front bike tire hit the side of the curb, and I continued to follow Anja. My legs tried to keep up with my body, but couldn't, and I fell and rolled before I stopped her. My leg and my hand hurt, but I figured it would just be an abrasion and I was mad at Anja. I stood up, brushed some mud off (it was rainy) and made Anja turn around and let the other dog smell her rear, while not letting her look behind her. Then I made her lay down next to the fence until the other dog got bored and walked away. My leg stopped hurting, but my hand was throbbing, so I finished the short walk and went home. By that time it hurt so bad that I started to cry, thankfully dad got home about then, so he gave me an Ibuprofen and I ended up taking a two hour nap. I've also never taken so many pain pills in my life. I've been taken them every 2-4 hours to help with the oww part, and it keeps the swelling somewhat controlled. We don't know what's wrong with it, but we've iced it, and taped it to a brace. It's puffy, and purple, but I know that if I get a blessing tomorrow, it will all be good!

School

Well, every day gets closer and closer to summer vacation. The counselors office has a big poster with a countdown until school is out, and it shouts, "Time is passing... Are you?" Well, I'm pleased to say that I am, maybe not with flying colors, but still passing. My biology teacher that I switched into this semester is a lot cooler than my old one, but I wish he would inform us of our grade more often. I finally went up to him yesterday after class and found out that I have a "B", which isn't that bad.

My friend Elizabeth is sitting next to me and saying something about how Tongans are so bad. What?!? That's weird. She also claims that she misses her precious little teddy bear. It's name is "Hot Tomato"! Hahaaa! Just Kidding.

Anyway... you can tell that I'm at school, right. My audience is giggling. Oh and the updated count down is: 17 more school days!

Good Weather

This past week we've had good weather! It's been a miracle, the principal even had to make an announcement reminding all of the students that there is such a thing as a "dress code" and that we should apply it. It was 70 degrees or thereabouts, and there were little lemonade stands that were put up later along our neighborhood. Next, it rained for a couple of days, and finally today we had the glorious wind break up the clouds. No one is even speaking of w-i-n-t-e-r anymore, especially since the daylight is lasting until 9pm.

Yesterday I gave a presentation in Seminary on David O. McKay and did such a good job that my teacher gave me 3 make-up days. Sadly, it was more like 2 though since I didn't wake up to my alarm today. I guess that's my punishment for watching "Night at the Museum" with the family last night (which I recommend). I also managed to miss the school bus, so I had to take the city bus, and then took the wrong one and had to walk from the Ste Office Building to the High School, and I don't know my way down town very well. I followed the big roads! Haha...not.

We played Volleyball for our Mutual activity which may seem bad due to the fact that I am Rachel's sister, however I was the oldest girl there to day, so my skill level matched the rest of the middle school girls. Yay! One last thing... Happy Birthday Elizabeth! Sweet 16!

34 MORE ACEDEMIC SCHOOL DAYS UNTIL SUMMER!!!

Hello to all!

Well, it's good to be in the teacher's favorites. Today was a lot of fun. I turned in a 12 genre project on Friday, and the teacher just finished grading them. I got mine back right after my teacher (Mrs. Moore) showed the class "how well I payed attention to detail", "how thouroughly I did each portion of the project" and how she gave 20 extra credit points. Even though I got 6 points taken off for small errors, I still ended up with 214 out of 200 points! Yay!

Mom and Dad have been gone for a while, and I'm sure they're going to do some fun things with their last child (hint, hint). However, Charlie has been very sporting, in taking me to school/seminary... in his MUSTANG! He hooked up his surround sound speakers, and I swear, I could feel my eardrums vibrating. That's cool end everything, but my favorite is the car's "take-off" speed. He dropped me off at school, and then took off really fast once I got out. I kinda laughed to myself, but was stopped when this old lady asked, "Is that your friend?" I replied that he was my brother and she said, "Well, you better remined him that that could be considered 'reckless driving' and it's a good thing I didn't get his licence plate number." I then kind of sourly looked at her as I said, "I'm sure he's old enough to remember," then closed the door at that.

Someone that was at Girl's Camp, came into town for the "Art Festival" that is hosted by Juneau this year, and ate lunch with our "group" today. She's really nice, but I didn't know her very well. Elizabeth was telling the girl, Indigo, that Wendy is the athletic one, I'm the funny one, and paused at herself. Wendy and I then both said that, Elizabeth is the "boy crazy" one. We all laughed, and then had to go show Indigo all the boys that she thought was cute. Haha, sound like High School? Or maybe Middle School? Anyway, hope this covers what I've been doing lately, and I'll write again sooner than it took me last time.

Spring Break Is Over

Well, it was fun while it lasted! I spent most of the time just by myself at the house. Although I did start a new exercise program with Anja.

One day, I biked her out to the Glacier, and we were going through the trails, but I decided it was about time to be heading back. This was because of the wolf in Juneau. The community has named him, Romeo. In case anyone is wondering, his mate is stuffed and in the Glacier Visitor's Center. Her name was Juliet. Anyway, I thought that it probably wasn't a very good idea to let them "play" together, so we left before it got to be the size
of a silver half dollar at arms' length.

General Conference was definitly a fun way to end the break. After all, I did spend a couple lazy hours in front of the T.V. before then, watching... "What Not To Wear". Ha ha, just kidding.

So, with school starting again, it means a fresh start for the fourth quarter. It'll definitly be easier than the third quarter. Juneau still has a little more than a foot of snow just along the banks of the road and sidewalks. However, today is the third sunny day in a row with no clouds! You know it's Spring when the kids start to play in the middle of the small streets again. Hope everyone is smellin' the flowers!

Roadkill

So, today at dinnertime, we were talking about unfortunate animals that get run over by cars. We talked of stupid rabbits that have a "high" year every 7 years, and there are many that get run over, and how the ravens that people call stupid are actually pretty smart, and are harder to run over than, seagulls, for example. Well, I was reminded of a story that I heard from church a while back. For the sake of privacy we'll let this person's name be Sally.

Sally was on a over-night road trip somewhere down south to visit family. As she was driving, she felt a large bump on a smooth road. "Hmmm..." she thought. But that was it, and she kept on driving. Not 5 minutes later, she felt another rather large bump for the seemingly smooth road. Sally wanted to get to her destination on schedule, so kept on driving. After another 10 minutes, she saw a car that had pulled off to the side, taillights flashing. So, Sally pulled over to see what the problem was. The driver was out whistling as if to call something. Sally then proceeded to ask if she need help, in which the driver replied, "Oh yes, thank you. I've lost my dog!" Sally said that maybe they should go back the way they came to find it. Later down the road, they found the dog. Roadkill. "Ohhh, that's too bad," said Sally. She left immediately, for she could feel herself blushing. However she wondered what the first bump was, and found a raccoon. Roadkill.

Well, Dad had to tell another more gruesome story to top mine, so he proceeded to tell me about when he was driving the city bus. Apparently, the front of a bus has a lot of suction, much like an airplane engine. Anyway, he ran over a dog, and it went shooting out of the back of the bus through the air 30 feet, and went "Splat!" on the ground.

Haha, well hope I've been able to gross you all out. Have any good ones yourself? I'll be in the bathroom... spewing 30 feet.

Long Time...No type

Well, it's been a hectic week this time around. I picked my schedule next year for my Junior year. It's the first time that I've planned with my friends about getting in the same classes. In addition, I'll no longer be an underclassman, which means a little more respect from people in the school. I also got the chance to take a peek at my transcript, and it says that my GPA is a 3.4, but that doesn't include this semester yet. Monday was a holiday, and I think that I can say in the behalf of everyone out there, that, It was nice to have a three-day weekend! I had to present a History project with a partner, take a test, and continue doing my Geometry homework, which gets harder by the day. I guess I better "buck-up" though. It's not like it's gonna get any easier, right?

Charlie's mobile home is under deep construction at the moment. We all went over there yesterday to help put "goop" on the walls, and paint everything white (instead of the brown paneling that is already there). Cheryl, Charlie, and I went to go see the Astronaut Farmer in theaters last night at about 9pm. I think that it was a pretty good family movie.

The old folks and I are about 1/3 of the way through the Book of Mormon, and enjoying the spirit that it brings into our home. However, today is not going to be very "restful" due to the fact that SOMEONE needs to tidy the house up for visiting teachers and the missionaries who are both visiting tonight. That being said, I better get going!

Victory!

At last! My room is clean! Yesterday, as the international "clean-up" day I was assigned to clean my horrendous living space. Well, after procrastinating for some time, it was 7pm. My mom, back on the computer after dinner, asked me what I was doing instead of cleaning. "Ummm... I dunno," was all that I could come up with. However, I asked her what she would do if I got my room clean that very night. Surprised, she said that she would crawl on her stomach from the kitchen to my room. Delighted at the thought of an opportunity of mocking, I proceeded to go through numerous Rubbermaid containers of saved junk all the way back from elementary school. I was finally finished at about 11pm. Mom had left to the store at 10:30pm to get some last minute things before Sunday. She got back home, and five minutes later, was doing a pitiful "worm" on the floor. HAHA!!!

Well, I was thinking that it might be nice to go on a temple trip to Anchorage before I left to Utah for EFY. 2nd ward is going on the 15-16 of June , which obviously wouldn't work. However, 3rd ward is going on the 7-8 of June I think....if so, then I could make it just in time for EFY which starts on the 11th. The only problem is that it would require a ticket. I already asked Ben for two "one-ways" but I'd have to have three "one-ways" to carry out this ingenious plan. Hmmm, does it seem a little hectic for one month?

We were late for church again today but still made it in time for sacrament meeting. Is it bad to aim for sacrament meeting if you think you're gonna be late? Anyway, besides that, we have a new family in the ward and a new convert. Go missionaries!! I'm almost done with my Personal Progress, just one project and a couple value experiences left, and then I can get my name on the YW plaque that's in the church hallway.
